TREXM Equips Graduate Trainees Through Work Readiness Programme

TREXM Equips Graduate Trainees Through Work Readiness Programme

The month of July kicked off with Work Readiness training for TREXM‘s Graduate Trainees and entry-level employees.

At TREXM Holdings, we believe that continuous learning is one of the most powerful investments we can make in our people. This commitment was recently demonstrated through a four-day intensive training programme facilitated by MaCTay Consulting, designed to equip our newly recruited Graduate Trainees and a number of our entry-level employees with the skills, mindset, and competencies required to thrive in our dynamic workplace.

The programme focused on two critical pillars of personal and professional development: Workplace Readiness & Personal Effectiveness and Emotional Intelligence for Managing Self and Others. Through highly interactive, role playing and engaging sessions, our graduate trainees and other entry-level employees gained practical insights and knowledge to enhance workplace effectiveness, strengthen professional relationships, and improve overall performance.

One of the key highlights of the training was the emphasis on transitioning from a student mindset to a professional mindset.

The programme covered a wide range of impactful topics, including:

* Understanding corporate culture, both written and unwritten cultures required to effectively read and adapt to workplace environments.

* The employer’s value pyramid and the pillars of professionalism.

* Goal setting using the SMARTER framework and overcoming procrastination through the STOP method.

* Effective communication through the communication model, DISC behavioural styles, and the LISTEN framework.

* Teamwork and collaboration, including the five stages of team formation, characteristics of high performing teams, and the TRUST framework.

* Conflict management strategies, thinking models, for continuous improvement.

* Problem solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, the 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and SWOT Analysis.

* Personal branding and professional growth using the BRAND, CONNECT, and GPS frameworks.

* Emotional Intelligence, its five domains andfive pillars, with practical applications for managing oneself and building productive relationships with others.

The programme reinforced that having technical competence is not enough to suceed in the professional workplace but effective communication, collaboration with others, adaptation to changes, emotions management, and problem solving skills are essential competencies for driving business success and fostering a positive workplace culture.

As TREXM Holdings continues to grow, developing these capabilities within our workforce remains a priority. By creating opportunities for continuous learning, personal growth, and professional excellence, we are building a workforce that is equipped to meet current challenges and prepared for future opportunities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to MaCTay Consulting for delivering an enriching and impactful learning experience and for sharing their expertise, and commitment to talent development.

Together, we continue to build a workforce that is empowered, resilient, and ready for the future.
